Unit 4 Exercise

~ ~ Loving Kindness Exercise ~ ~

My experience with the loving kindness exercise was very difficult at first because I  have worked 3rd shift  and it was very very busy at work and all I wanted to do was to go to sleep. But after listening to it after several times it became very beneficial to me. The waves of the ocean when they come rolling in on the beach when the birds was singing, the wind blowing that really really made me very  relaxed as I closed my eyes. When I closed my eyes while listening the ocean I felt that I was really there on the beach as well as the birds singing and flying around me, and the wind blowing on me.

~ ~ Mental Workout ~ ~

A mental workout would be a day-to-day commitment to apply or learning of inner peace as well as human flourishing. Actually I think that a mental workout is just like a physical workout as well as that it is just as of great magnitude to recuperate your physical body at the same time as mental exercise is imperative to convalesce your mental prominence.

Unit 3 Exercise and Relaxation

Rating My Own Well Being

The Challenge this week is to rate my own “well-being” in a physical, spiritual and psychological capacity. The scale is 1-10

Physical wellbeing: My physical wellbeing I rate the scale as a 6 because I have been really sick and was diagnosed with COPD in August, and in September I got pheunmonia which i still fully havent recovered.

Goal: To get my COPD under control which I have stopped smoking.

Spiritual well-being: My spiritual well-being I rate that a 8 because I feel that I am connected to a higher power.

Goal: Just continue praying by giving me the strenght to continue another day.

Psychological well-being: My psychological well-being i rate this as a 5 and still needs work because yes I do get stressed out very easliy especially when nothing seems to go right for me.

Goal: Do not let stuff get me down, and patience  especially with my sickness For the stress I have to just take things as they are and not to look back.

The activities or exercise that I can implement in mylife to assist in moving toward each goal? The activities and exercise that I can implement in my life to move towards to each goal would be to do what the doctors asked me of and just take a step back and say Hey you can do anything dont let noone or anything get you down.  Also exercising with my COPD I can do alittle right now but i force myself a little harder each day.

The relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century Relaxation Exercise.  The relaxation exercise of The Crime of the Century really made me tired.  I actually nodded off there for a second. My fiance had to say Hey Rachel you falling asleep.  That guy that was talking has a very soothing voice which puts people to sleep. I thank god my fiance isn't like that.. LOL

Unit 2 Relaxation Exercise

Unit 2 Relaxation Exercise

In this relaxation exercise the guys voice was very soft and soothing. In fact he was so soothing that he made me dose off there for a while. I am sick with walking pneumonia and I have asthma and COPD so therefore I have not been sleeping well.  This exercise seemed to help me rest and have a good night sleep and when I woke up the very next morning I seem refreshed and energized.   This is the first morning in 2 weeks that I have NOT taking a breathing treatment or using my oxygen.
